Do you have a recommendation for ramps to raise up my truck? I see a lot of options along with good and bad reviews. Getting 6” of lift would would give me enough clearance to use my creeper.

You could build your own with some 2x6’s or 2x8’s.

I could but I’m looking for something easy to store. To be completely honest, I just don’t want to put that much effort into something I can buy.

the reviews on these are mixed and it’s not entirely clear what the weight capacity is but it appears to definitely not be 16k. I have a 3500 so I’d like to be certain.

This is why I posted here, I’m looking for first-hand experience.

Something like these?

The black fiberglass ones from Harbor Freight Tools have the weight capacity your looking for. They're very solid and light weight too

I quit using ramps or a jack under my 1500. Or a creeper.

I found it easier to slide under on a glossy piece of cardboard. It’s tight but easily manageable for an oil change. I am fairly lean at 6’2” 200lbs though.

I am under 2 bucks but it is the old bones that have me using a creeper. I have one of these in my toolbox and it’s really handy for roadside repairs.

I wouldn't hesitate to get the ones off Amazon. 16 or 12000lbs either one is triple what you need. If your truck is a diesel your probably 4000lbs on the front. I have a set similar and we used them to lift the rear of the truck up while pulling a 39ft goose neck to help make the ramp less steep. You see guys do this all the time at the race track and these ramps are way stronger than they need to be.

Hydraulic floor jack and 2 good jack stands has worked for me for 45 yrs. Cardboard on the ground for sliding around.

I didn't get a warm fuzzy about those Amazon ramps either. Seems like the majority do OK, but some of those reviews sounded pretty damaging to the vehicles with zero response from the seller.

My truck is pretty much tall enough to just slip under but my wife's MDX is way too low so I ended up getting these.

I figure if I ever have issues, I can at least drive back to the store and face to face someone.

This is what I've been using for over 10 years. Gives me enough clearance under my truck to use a 5 gallon bucket to catch the oil in. Which was needed with my 07 Cummins.
