The beauty of large displacement, big heads and EFI. Been a hot minute since I've seen a colonnade coupe in the wild.

Edit: hot minute being about 10 yrs, specifically this S3 Laguna....sometimes the rarer/more interesting cars are outside the car show venue:

Never been a big fan of that body style, (except the Monte Carlo, liked that one), but....I may be persuaded to take that one for a spin

Scariest car I ever rode in was a Vega....
Years ago a shirt tail relative built a tunnel rammed smallblock Pinto with homebuilt ladder bars, and that car was stupid scary when he got on it. The cars still kicking around and was for sale a month or so back, still has the same 350 in it,although the current owner did rebuild it it a few years back, and put a proper cage and 4 link system in it.

Friend of a friend had a big block Vega way back when, gawd, don't even remember his name, but it ran pretty good, to put it mildly.

This popped up on FB, I used to go thru this twice a day when I worked in Philly before they finally replaced it in the early 90's with lights and a real intersection - you don't know the joy of driving until you've had to navigate one of these during rush hour traffic.

LOL

Reminds me of driving to Cape Cod, Massachusetts, back in the day.

FIRST RESPONDER ROLLING MEMORIAL

This 2018 Ram 1500 was design & customized by VPS Marketing Group (West Palm Beach, FL). Detail painting & LED lighting by Lt. Robert Sierra. This vehicle tells a story by capturing powerful images of First Responders surrounding 9/11/2001. From the awaking of the “Spirits of Patriotism” on the Hood, this vehicle tells the story of the attacks, the clean-up and rebuilding of these American icons though the patriotic resolve that is American. Passenger side depicting the bravely and magnitude of the event. Driver’s side shows FDNY responders searching for survivors, attending to the injured & processing the unimaginable. FDNY Ladder 3 is seen within the collapse. The Tailgate provides remembrance of our entire First Responders family. Finally, the Tonneau Cover depicts FDNY Ladder 3 & FDNY 10 House who gave the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day in September of 2001.

We wish to acknowledge the following individuals who brought First Responder Rolling Memorial to life:

Aaron Reinbold - VSP Marketing Group Dan Gittere - VSP Marketing Group

Adam Cranmer - VSP Marketing Group FDNY Retirees of South East Florida

I had one of those! 1974 S3 Laguna. It was the exact color as the one in your pic. I still have the driver’s side fender badge from when the wife scraped it off on the garage door opening lol. I loved the swivel bucket seats!

Just in case any of you are stuck on what to get me for my birthday in May

I had a '67. It was an El Camino with the Malibu interior package, a screaming 283 V8 and a PowerGlide transmission.
