I don't knock them at all. Ford just wasn't a car that ever struck my interest, not saying they wasn't good for their fan club.

I know everyone will disagree with me on this and that's ok but give me that exact car without the fender flares, a nice set of old school 5 star Cragars, aluminum 5 slots or center lines, white letter tires, a 340 4/6 speed and I'd be smiling like a jacka$$ eating briers! Probably a lot less money. The Hellcat swap is getting like the 350/LS swap, "done to death". Of course just my own worthless opinion! LOL
I'm not a fan of the fender flares, but i got nothing against the hellcat swap,if it's done right, lol. A set of Auto/Drag Centerlines would dress it up,or even a set of the old 5 spoke Cragars as you stated.Must be a NC thing calling the old Cragars 5 star,as i've only ever heard them referred to as 5 spoke, your the first i've heard call them 5 star, lolI know everyone will disagree with me on this and that's ok but give me that exact car without the fender flares, a nice set of old school 5 star Cragars, aluminum 5 slots or center lines, white letter tires, a 340 4/6 speed and I'd be smiling like a jacka$$ eating briers! No it's probably just me, figured it would make it obvious which wheel I was referring to because it kind of looks like a star but either one would describe them to me. It use to be that we would just say Cragars, centerlines and aluminum slots and everyone knew the difference and which one's you was talking about, wasn't sure about now. If I talked old school I don't think many would get it. LOLI'm not a fan of the fender flares, but i got nothing against the hellcat swap,if it's done right, lol. There's still lots of us old guys kicking around, who'd know exactly what you're talking about The yonger generation would figure it out eventuallyNo it's probably just me, figured it would make it obvious which wheel I was referring to because it kind of looks like a star but either one would describe them to me. The ole woody wagons lol. Especially old Torino or LTDsNow there's something you don't see every day.
All of this is 100% true (but sitting on the hood of my car wasn't happening, lol) I remember a lot was sitting in the car and blasting the song "Then came the last days of May (live version 1974) by Blue Oyster Cult while passing a "left handed cigarette" . Still today when I'm by myself I'll play that song wide open but no "left handed cigarette" tho my brain makes me think I can still smell that smell! LOL Wouldn't trade those times for nothing.

Wonder how many people know that they crashed a 67 Camaro into the bull dozers at the end, lolEverybody wanted a white Challenger when Vanishing Point came out, although that was a '71
Believe it or not I seen that somewhere years ago tho I have to say I wonder why. It was shown in slow motion whoever was proving it.Wonder how many people know that they crashed a 67 Camaro into the bull dozers at the end,lol
If you've never seen the 1997 remake it wasn't too bad. You have to like Mopars to enjoy it though, they referenced that a bit. May even be a little tear jerker for your wives! LOLBelieve it or not I seen that somewhere years ago tho I have to say I wonder why. It was shown in slow motion whoever was proving it.
I remember reading somewhere that the Camaro came out of a scrapyard, and they towed it into the dozers,so i'm guessing they got the Camaro for next to nothing. It was a low budget film even by the movie standards of the time.Believe it or not I seen that somewhere years ago tho I have to say I wonder why. Low budget for sure. That story sounds about right. We use to joke about it, us Mopar guys would say they didn't want to waste a Challenger and the Chevy guys would say it was because a Challenger wouldn't go that fast. Yep back when we could joke around and not want to shoot each other!
