Nothing there Dan
FCA long ago admitted that a change in vendor supplied lifters resulted in quality issues. Sometime in mid-2014 or 2015 a lifter with new hardened, increased needle bearing size was introduced.

Is that an actual car or just a terrible rendering? One of the better late model conversions in my opinion.

My first car, the Dart Sport.
It's a real car,as it's been seen at a few car shows.I initially thought it was AI created but then a bunch of guys said they'd seen it in personIs that an actual car or just a terrible rendering?

Unfortunately you're right.....sold at Mecum earlier this year for $160k: https://www.mecum.com/lots/1111327/It's a real car,as it's been seen at a few car shows.I initially thought it was AI created but then a bunch of guys said they'd seen it in person
That's gotta be one of the higher priced late model Scat Packs to go through Mecum and sell at $160,000. I could live with the rear flairs, but not a fan of them on the front that's for sureUnfortunately you're right.....sold at Mecum earlier this year for $160k: https://www.mecum.com/lots/1111327/

There was pic's of a guy doing the WB flairs and later model Charger front end on a Magnum floating around a few years ago.I don't know if he ever finished it,as i think it was involved in an accident before he was doneOr if they hadn't killed the Magnum and made a HC WB version of that.....
Those are always fun shows… I had to drive the Camaro in the rain for the first time. It did a lot better than I expected.
I see his name I always think of Rockford and his firechickens (74-78)A lot of people never knew that James Garner was not only an actor but also a professional race car driver—and a pretty good one at that! Garner was both a driver and a race-team owner, and he had some good success in many of his race ventures.
Rambler had shown that their designs could live up to the not-so-forgiving courses of American off-road racing. With that earlier success came a three-year deal between Garner, AIR (American International Racers), and American Motors—a brand eager to get involved with all types of racing. AMC shipped 10 new Hurst-prepared ‘69 SC/Rambler two-door hardtops to Garner’s shop for a total makeover, turning them from stock street machines into off-road racing machines. Since these cars were already equipped with the 390ci 4bbl engines, the drivetrains were kept with the cars. Horsepower was increased from 315 to 410 at the flywheel with a few modifications, and these cars were capable of going over 140 mph and hitting 7,000 rpms.
The Baja 500 was on June 11, 1969. It was a 30 hour race, covering a 558-mile route through some of the roughest terrain in North America. In the field were the 10 SC Ramblers. Eight of the cars were sedans, and two were equipped with four-wheel drive running in the Experimental category. Amazingly, a Garner Rambler brought home first place, along with a third and fifth-place finish.
I have heard that if you look at the early ones they were so poorly built that the headliners were already falling in them.
