Hey all,

I got off work today and went to get gas at the gas station with no problem .after I got gas and started my truck I had all sorts of errors pop up, Traction control off, air suspension off, abs off, service electronic brake system, service shifter and error codes. When I checked real quick it only came up with p1009 which is humidity sensor.

It seems to run alright so I drove home (30 miles) and had no problems. After I let it sit and cool down I restarted it and had the following faults (other cluster errors didn't reaapper other than CEL) :

P1DD2
U0001
U0402
P02D1
U11C2

2 of these codes had to do with transmission data errors but don't remember which.

Anybody have anything like this happen before or able to maybe explain what might have happened?

EDIT: just started it again and all the messages popped up again...

Also mds doesn't seem to be engaging.

When the battery is bad or low due to a faulty charging system, the ECU will sometimes sketch out and throw a bunch of random CEL's. That being said, I agree its probably best taken into the dealer since you appear to have warranty left.

I cleared the codes after I posted and it seemed fine. MDS wasn't kicking on because I guess it won't if the CEL is on.

I thought about taking it to the dealer but it was fine the next morning and has been fine since. Just wish I knew why it happened.

I am pretty sure my battery is fine, haven't had any other issues with it that I can tell .

i have just had the same thing happen to my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. The steering started to steer itself, got all the same and more display error and made the truck inoperable so needed to get a tow to the dealership. They told us they could not reproduce but there was over 40+ error codes they had to clear. They also said they had to tighten a ground wire that is connected to the BUS. Drove it home and had an ECL, went to Advance Auto Parts and got them to identify the code and it was U0001. Is there anybody else that may have had this issue? I think this is a safety issue if the steering goes and you are doing above 55 MPH this could cause an accident. Does anybody know of a resolution? Any help would be great;y appreciated.

I had an instance where I a check engine light would periodically come on then go out again. One time it came on and the truck would intermittently go into limp mode. The truck through a u0001 and u11c2 code. It turns out it was a bad star connector that plugged into the canbus c under the dash. The bad connection made it so the TCM couldn’t send information to the ECM. I haven’t thrown any codes since the repair and I am cautiously optimistic it was the problem.
