Nice write up and clean install. Any plans to add small ones to your fender flares? I know the raptor has them because the law requires Amber lights on anything wider than standard but I haven’t seen anyone else mimic them. Just curious if you were bouncing that idea around

He's in Tx. Not all laws apply equally in all states

Our trucks are not as wide as the raptor so it would be for ascetics. The raptor has those lights for a reason not just because they look cool. I understand different states have different regulations but @JB1 would be installing them for ascetics and no other reason, so it would not matter where he lives

Right on, they were still on in your pictures I cant keep up, hahaha did you remove the paint protectant film under your flares too? Your truck is so insanely clean every time I see it I feel like I have to go wash mine, shame my weather hasn't cooperated with me. Keep up the great work I like the factory look ideas you come up with

I thought I had posted pictures of my grille when I put it in but I guess I didn’t. This one is off eBay the whole thing came painted grey. Its easy to unscrew to paint.

Awesome project and ingenuity. Inspired me to try and take a stand at it.

Did you go with the 11 or 16mm bolts? Looks like you got the ones w/o the lens, are you happy with them? I'd think w/o the lens would suit this application better.

BTW I'm in Houston. Noticed the TX plates.

@JB1, did you JB weld the delrin to the back of the grill or did you fit the piece into the honeycomb?

How is it holding up?

Any issues or things you would do differently, if you were to do it again?

Yes I used JB weld for plastics to attach the delrin to the grille

Heres what I bought

Everything is still holding up just fine, nothings loose, delrin is still glued, LEDs still work just fine. I have them wired to a switch but use them all the time. I like them recessed into the honeycomb. If your hesitant on the glue part, remove your grille and set it down and take a look and see if you can find a different way to attach some lights, sometimes it helps to just stare at it and brainstorm.

Here's a recent pic with them off, as you can see they really dont stand out and you have to zoom in to see them. How they looked off was more important to me as how they look when on.
