I got the RCX 6” lift with 22x12.5 on 35s and everything is good but I noticed the acceleration is slow until my rpm’s go up but not like factory truck. I kno it’s heavier so what can I do to get acceleration back or more. I read pedal commander and maybe change gear ratio. Let me kno why u think.

What engine and gears does your truck have? Did you have the speedometer reprogrammed for the tire size?

There is a sticker on the rear axle and also one on the front diff. Or find the build sheet. 3.21 and 35s will definitely be a little slower. I have 35s and 3.92 and it wasn’t a terribly noticeable difference to me. If you gear swap it’ll require a new front diff and regear the rear axle as the front diff cannot be regeared. If you plan on regearing I would look into 4:10 gears but 3:92 would be fine. 4:10 would require a bit of extra work because you have to do some part swapping not just the diff. If you have 3:92 then there would be no reason to gear swap unless you went to 4:56 which I feel is overkill on the 8 speed trans as first gear is extra low. Make sure you adjust the speedometer for the new tire size as that will affect the shift points and the truck may feel more sluggish. Alfaobd can be used to update the tire size or a tuner as well

I have the 3.21 gears. And didn’t reprogram the spirometer. Didn’t think I needed to. How would I reprogram the spirometer to my tire size

Yes. Reprogramming will make some difference. And yes. Regearing will make a huge difference in your case. You either needed a tuner, Alfaobd, or an aev procal. Read into the item description on this. It has a good explanation.

Gears would help but is very pricey especially if you have 4wd as you would have to do the front diff which is sealed.

Maybe start with lower cost options. The Tazer can calibrate your speedo and much more!

Also the pedal commander is a great option as is the Banks Pedal Monster which is the new popular throttle response device due to its built in fail safe.

Let us know if we can help with anything or if you need more info.
