Newbie here! I'm planning to buy a 2013 R/T and wanted to know if the stock exhaust is a zero back pressure design? Otherwise it looks like I'll have to add a Magnaflow to my list!

Thanks!

I don't think we have an 2013 owners yet as the trucks are just now hitting the lots. But these new engines require at least minimul back pressure.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they have a baffle design...just like the crap that came out of my Sport. Magnaflow is pretty popular for our trucks with there straight through design....a couple others to take a look at are Borla and Corsa which are more expensive but they are also straight through mufflers.

Glad to see you joined the site Rudy. Like mentioned, I dont think we have any 2013 owners on here yet as these trucks are just starting to hit the dealerships. Most stock exhausts are always going to have a baffled muffler to reduce noise. I would be very suprised if Dodge put a straight through muffler on the 13's.

Looks like Magnaflow here I come!! Now to figure out which way to go on the CAI. I'm leaning toward cleaner air (which rules out K&N) vs flow (of course I want as much as possible). Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome and pointing me in the right direction!

not sure if anything is changing on the 2013 engines, or if all 4th gen parts will fit or not, but as far as cai, i would recommend going with the Vararam or the S&B cai. i personally have the Vararam, and love it, although i do love how the S&B looks and the price is hard to beat for a quality cai.

I know everybody likes the name brands, but I went with a simple glass pack design from my muffler shop and the total was $125. Kept the factory pipes and I think I have a better sound than the other name brands I've heard. Just my opinion

Thanks again! Now to figure out why they're not offering the new Air Suspension on the R/T (it appears reg cabs will not have this option)? Bummer!! If anything you would think the R/T would have it!

Oh lord, everybody has one of two exhausts... Magniflow, or flowmaster. I pay good money to be different... Everybody who hears my exhaust setup love it to bits.

It is hard to beat the price of a Mufflex kit. I'm deciding if I want to save some $$$ and go that route or get the Corsa kit, I absolutely love that one.
