Rear Backup Camera Intermittent Stops Working

2021 Ram Limited Longhorn 3500 Cummins 3,650 miles with 12 inch display.
Rear backup camera sometimes works and sometimes stops working with a black screen.
This seems to happen whenever I open or close the tailgate.
I removed the tailgate cover plate and checked the two harnesses and connectors.
Any ideas before I reluctantly take it to the dealer?

I have a 2016 Laramie and I’ve had this problem for years. My last attempt at fixing has been successful so far. I found that by securing the harness that goes to the camera it prevents movement with openings and road bumps.
There’s a plastic plug that has inferior swivel support. I secured it with wire ties problem solved
