I have a 2009 3500 dually QC and I'm looking into changing the 60/40 rear bench seat out and installing bucket seats and a console. Has anyone tried/done this or does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks,

Now i'm not sure what the back seat area looks like in a QC Dually but i'd imagine its pretty close to the 1500 QC. First question would be do you have underseat storage? Would you be removing that? If not i don't think buckets will fit. They would have to sit ontop of the storage bins and I think that would put the persons head pretty close to the head liner. Also, would there be enough room to comfortably sit back there as an adult. Keeping in mind that unless you keep the backs of the bucket seats straight up and down they wold need to be laid back, reclined, a bit for comfort. Which would mean that the actuall "seat" that you sit on would be pushed forward to accomodate the "recline".

I could be way off on this given I have a 2011 1500 CC. I like the idea though. I like it alot. Now you have me thinking about it.

I think I saw a setup once where a guy put some stratus seats in the back. Not much room back there, especially a quad cab. Maybe a crew it would fit?

I've done some measuring and think I could do it, may have to look at a different make vehicle bucket seats and console. The only people that would ride back there are vertically challenged anyway so the leg room might not be an issue. I think I'll look around for seats and see what I can come up with.

I'm looking at Dodge Caravan front seat. I know I'll have to modify the bases to work but should be able to fit them in. If not, maybe the Stratus seats, although thoses seem to be alot narrower.

There's a local guy here in Houston that did it on his 4th gen 1500. Looks awesome and really comfortable, but I know he had a shop do it along with the rest of his interior. I love the idea though in a 3500.

Think this should be in the 3rd gen section since 4th gen heavy duty didn't come out till 2010

I think this sounds awesome I would love to see in QC, CREW and MEGA just to see the different looks. In the mega you could put in a coffee table too.

Would the qc 3500 60/40 seats fit into a 1500 cc? If you end up doing this and they swap I'll take your 60/40 I have the bench rear.

D33k, I don't see why it wouldn't fit. The buckets I ordered are due tomorrow afternoon, it may take me a couple of weeks to work on it (I had a heart attack recently) since the heat gets to me. I'll let you know how it goes.

How's this project coming? Any chance you can snap a pic of your rear seats?

I have 2 2917 manual seats from front of Ram 1500 if anyone wants to buy them for a crew or quad rear seat conversion. I was gonna do it after installing electrics in my tradesman. Decided not to. Atlanta area. [email protected]
