Rear Shock Replacement

Short story: The dealership I bought my truck from replaced the rear shocks on my truck with, what I can tell by the sticker on them, Reflex shocks. However, my driver side has blown out and now sags and makes noises. My question is can I buy another replacement for just the driver side? Or, do I need to replace both rears with the same shock for ride quality? Also, how hard is it to replace the rears? Any "How-To" videos? I had my buddy do my Bil 5100's on the front. Any advice/help is appreciated. Thanks!

Those are Monroe reflex shocks which have a lifetime warranty, contact the dealer to see what they say, if not get some sort of receipt for it and contact Monroe.

Your shock failed and now your suspension sags?
Shocks do not support the load. They control movement.
You have bigger issues.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will get under it again and find the issue. The only reason why I thought it was the shock is because when you shake the truck side to side, you can hear what sounds almost like an old air pump going up and down. The same sound does not emit from the passenger side rear. Thanks!

Yes. I am running the Bilstein 5100's up front set at 2.8. In the rear I am running the Reflex shocks which the dealer had put on before I purchased the truck. Eventually I will throw the 4600's in the back.

Why not put Bilstein 5100 series in the rear? It is a little bit wonky to mix shock series, let alone different brands.

I guess I was under the assumption that the 5100's were only adjustable. I have only had the truck since September and have never messed with the suspension on any of my previous trucks, so this is all new to me.
