any thoughts on mystic oil? what advanced has, well at least whats on the site. and im hoping to be changing it again soon when i get my diff and gears installed so hopefully(wanna get the gears in bad) it won't be in there too long

We used to blend and package Mystic...I believe it was owned by Citgo...none the less the quality is still good...too mad you live far away...I would give you all you need for the change, we make it all right here in house.

Re: front...Actually I think the bottle just clears as well but you can only get half a bottle in at a time cause of the angle so either buy an extra or use the Mr. Good Pump. Careful of the Bolts too as the housing is aluminum and you could strip the threads easily. I use a 1/4" ratched and always make my own cork gaskets using Felpro rolls but thats just me. Not Full Synthetic up front like the rear so Cheaper!

It would be no different that a Citgo or Coastal oil...lubricant labels like that are blended by companies with contract packaging agreements with smaller oil companies...who make one blend of oil and use it for 3 or more different labels...

Kind of like my oil company (Amalie)...we blend and package for over 40 labels...but the oil is the same...just has different labels on it.

Straight Mopar RTV for Gear Lube does work on its own.

All you do is clean up the cover, then lay it over the cork and trace with a fine permanent marker all the holes and the outside edge of your cover. Then draw where the inside of the diff cover edge would be following the same contours as the outer.
Then just cut out with scissors and mark the gasket as UP Side/cover side.
To punch out the holes i use a Gasket Chisel punch of the appropriate size and tap the gasket holes on a small piece of cedar/any type of wood will do.

Hope this Helps. usually i will make two so I got one for next time but i gave my extra one away to a freind who's Durango was leaking after the Dealer changed it (RTV Only sometimes that happens). If you do decide to go RTV I would recommend scuffing the cover with 100 grit paper first to promote better adhesion. A set of Mopar Chrome bolts from the dealer is also a nice addition (or place like Jeggs or maybe Duane has em)

long Response, Eh!

Lol I know I did. Didn't think about it till I got the gasket today. The chick at advanced gave me a roll of cork that was only 6 inches wide....... ummm...... that wont work! I was gonna make it but I talked to my dad and he went on about how it soaks up the oil and then it leaks bla bla bla, which did cross my mind. Usin a pre made is gonna be easier anyway. Its getting worse thank god im changin the fluid tomorrow after work

Your Dads Theory sounds good, however Gasket Material technology has changed since 1978...LOL... I never had a soaking/leak problem ever with the Felpro Rolls, the Trick is to keep it thin. Rubber is the best or you can get the GREY Coloured paper stuff butt its hard to get in the wide roll.

You may already know this too, but let the set-up/RTV dry for a good hour before putting in the Fluid.
