TRX is for Smiles per Gallon period... Life's too short to NOT SMILE!
I'm with you. I'd go TRX for sure! I tried to find one at MSRP, plus tax and title and got "NO". It's been several months, so I may try again. There was one in South Florida with about 1000 miles on it at a dealership and I offered new MSRP and they still said no. Maybe the market is changing.

The TRX is a BEAST!

Some dealers are giving percents off invoice.

I'll have to revisit it. It's the perfect Hurricane vehicle. Living in a state effected by Hurricanes and the aftermath, I can justify it lol. The TRX can go through 3 feet of water and flooding is often the biggest problem following the storm. Tree limbs blocking roads too. See, I "need" one lol.

For those who are questioning basically saying 10 isn’t close in price.. you clearly don’t understand. From a rebel to a Trx 10 is really close in price. Being senior members on this forum you should know the differences and have the knowledge to understand.

Thank you for your comments everyone else. I really appreciate it and it did help
What you don't seem to understand is that you're comparing a fully equipped Rebel to a stripped down TRX. Definitely not apples to apples there. Sure, they're less than $10 apart. But the Rebel would have everything you want in a truck. Try building out a TRX with everything you want and you'll have a better comparison.

I'm sure he knows he's not comparing identical vehicles. That's kind of the point. Does he spend about the same for a much more powerful performance vehicle or get more options for the less performance based vehicle.

my opinion is they are apples to apples and I do understand. But the TRX is a level 1 and sometimes it’s not about what’s fully loaded. I don’t think most people get a TRX for the 12 inch screen or Harmon kardon or the wireless charging station they get it because of the hellcat engine. I think most people who are in or where in my situation didn’t just choose the rebel right off the bat considering the TRX is tempting being CLOSE in price range. I appreciate the advice thank you

Exactly. Thank you. I should have said this exact quote for my original question.

And that's where it's not apples to apples. One is a high performance off-roader, the other is a truck you can use as a daily driver, comfortable cruiser, and take off road. Definitely not as capable as the TRX, but if someone needs that kind of performance they wouldn't be looking at a Rebel in the first place.

I get the appeal of the TRX. I was in a similar situation myself a little over a year ago. The TRX would be awesome, but it wouldn't serve my purposes other than put smiles on my face on the occasions when I could actually push it. It's not great at towing, terrible on fuel economy, and can be difficult to find parking spots big enough to keep from getting door dings.

@JohnC24229...good luck with whichever way you go.
