And that's where it's not apples to apples. One is a high performance off-roader, the other is a truck you can use as a daily driver, comfortable cruiser, and take off road. Definitely not as capable as the TRX, but if someone needs that kind of performance they wouldn't be looking at a Rebel in the first place.

I get the appeal of the TRX. I was in a similar situation myself a little over a year ago. The TRX would be awesome, but it wouldn't serve my purposes other than put smiles on my face on the occasions when I could actually push it. It's not great at towing, terrible on fuel economy, and can be difficult to find parking spots big enough to keep from getting door dings.

I Chose a loaded Limited and a Wrangler

If I was to go big offroad vehicle it would be a power wagon

I'll have to revisit it. It's the perfect Hurricane vehicle. Living in a state effected by Hurricanes and the aftermath, I can justify it lol. The TRX can go through 3 feet of water and flooding is often the biggest problem following the storm. Tree limbs blocking roads too. See, I "need" one lol.
Interesting justification there.

Would be oohhhhh, ahhhhhhhhhh, but no way can I justify, but if U got the $$$$ and no issue, heck why not..... Wat eva makes U happy. I'll just have to live with my lowly lil Bighorn, LOL.

I had the same thoughts when I was looking at buying my truck about a year ago. Get a decked out Rebel or get a TRX with Level 1. The dealer I went with (Glenn CDJR in KY) was offering 4% below invoice on both at the time. I decided on the Rebel for a few reasons listed below:

1. The Level 1 TRX was missing some of my must have options. I don't recall exactly which ones but I figured I should get everything I want when I am paying so much.
2. The increased gas cost. On the highway I can get about 17mpg with my Rebel. TRX seems to be around 8mpg which is a big difference.
3. The Rebel offers the GT package which offers a lot of the options of the TRX, paddle shifters, console gear shift, catback and CAI. I got the GT package mainly for ventilated seats but I got to admit - it sounds amazing. I have gotten many compliments that my truck sounds awesome and that is from the factory.
4. Insurance costs - the TRX was quite a bit more to insure than the Rebel.

All in all I don't regret my decision at all. The Rebel G/T is a great package and while prices have gone up more (I got mine for 63K) I think it is still a lot of truck that looks and sounds great. I love driving it and I occasionally travel for work. Couldn't ask for a better truck. If you have any questions let me know and I will be happy to answer or send pics on the G/T.

I look all the time for other Rebel and Laramie G/T's and don't see them. Would love to know how many G/T models were made in 2022 when the production cycle is done.

I was up close and personal with two TRX's a few days ago, both owners were happy as pigs in ****. I have a loaded 2017 Rebel and have been happy every day (except the little air susp hiccup LOL). Dollars aside, does your truck live in a garage (is the TRX too wide)?

If the money works, go for it, it's an awesome vehicle. I considered a TRX for a minute but I'm waiting for the 2023 Rebel 2500 instead.
