Thinking about buying me some of these:

Recon Accessories: Part # 264H13PB - H13 9008 (5,600 KELVIN) Headlight Bulbs in Platinum Blue

These appear to be a hell of alot brighter than the factory Halogens on the 2011, which is not bright at all.

Also if I am reading this correctly it is just plug right in, with no extra harnesses or anything.

Plus I think the blue color will look awesome with the Silver Metallic paint.

For $38 bucks, should maybe save me from hitting that damned deer, like the one that jumped out in front of me the other night. Almost clocked him too.

That would have been really sad, with under 1000 miles on the rig, ya think?

I know probably not as bright as projectors, but do you guys/gals think this will help?

And also, do you just reach in from under the bumper or from the top to get to the bulbs?

Thanks for your opinion.

not worth the money ist still a halogen bulb. the coating will mask the light and reduce lumens.

I would just got HID and get a set from JJ. Even if its just a drop in kit. I think the nightvisions are the cheapest.

As for getting to the bulbs the only way I know of is removing the grille and then removing the lights.

Agree with ^^^ these guys.. I bought a set a week after I bought my ram (While I was trying to find a good hid kit) and they suck really bad... Your stock headlights are brighter than these lights...Just sayin

Save the money and invest in a set of HID's

Well if they are ****, I don't want them. I just hoped for more visability. After reading alot of posts on this forum, I thought RECON was the **** and quality. I guess for now, I'll get the Sylvania Ultra's then.

yeah Recon claims them to be a lot more bright than they really are. That's where I bought mine from and was very unhappy with them..

Matt covered it for ya, never buy blue lights. They might look cooler but their light output is far less!

Liking the looks of the NightVision for sure, but man what the hell are all the wires?

Electrical scares the hell out of me.

Don't want to have to be cutting up any wires on a new truck with under a 1000 miles....:superhack:

http://www.ramforum.com/f96/best-hid-kits-your-dodge-ram-8370/

Nightvisions come in the H13 setup. Its not a bixenon deal - just hid low, but will definitely BLOW away any halogen bulb you put in your truck.

Wiring? Eh, a run to the battery, a couple grounds, plug the rest in. Not too bad!

Hahaha....you make it sound so easy. I can take about anything apart until we are talking electrical.....LOL

Does that mean then I would not have a High Beam selection?

HID kits typically use a relay harness - as it is the best way to ensure constant power to the ballasts, and not harm the stock wiring.

Wiring these up - easy. ABSOLUTELY no cutting! NO splicing! Just a run to the battery, couple grounds and the rest plugs in. :005:

It is easy!

With nightvisions you would not have HID highs, and frankly the high beams produced by the halogen bulb next to the HIDs........not worth it. They are there to be allow you to pass inspection, and not throw codes for lamp out.

BUT, your HID lows would blow away the highs you have now (by about 3-4x). :D

hardest part on a 4th gen is taking out the headlights. Install is easy. Just got 3 grounds to tap to metal frame and good to go
