The 4th gen rebel to me was really just an appearance package. The 5th gen rebel does add in a rear locker. But yeahhhhhh i’d take a stock 2500 over a rebel and I bet the 2500 would walk around it. A 1500 will do work off-road but it requires more put into it than a 2500 does. There’s a few 1500 guys on here that have tricked out their truck and it’s very capable. But seriously a stock rebel vs a stock pw there’s videos on it and the pw is better if you’re really using it. I think he is jelly
Sorry for long post. My coffee kicked in lol
I’m not sure about the spring-ride Rebels but at least with the air-ride Rebel’s anyways, the only thing really that they have over the other 1500’s is that they sit an inch taller.
Yeah, the 19 Rebs come standard with the locking rear diff but so does pretty much anything else in the 1500 with the off-road package. You can get just that by itself too.
One thing the air-ride Rebel(and even my pavement queen Limited) can do that the PW can’t, is gain another inch(two inches in my Limited) of ground clearance. Yeah yeah, I know, that’s hardly a drop in the bucket compared to the 12k winch, sway bar disconnects and front and rear lockers. Lol. Just saying that it’s not
just an appearance package.
