Relay and Fuel pump bad at the same time?

Glad you got your truck fixed. MAN ...that dealer had it for 3 months?!! Woah.

Fuel pump relay bypass is becoming a more common thing as Ram's get older. Another alternative, for those interested, a guy can buy exact replacement relays on ebay (under $4) ..or Moser (or Amazon) to resolder on the TIPM board. An alternative to the bypass for those who don't mind a little soldering work.

I bought a couple as my rig's got 170k LOL. OTOH, 170k on the same TIPM/relay isn't bad either. The specs say the relays are good for 100x10 to the power of 3 (100,000 starts!). So either the defective rate his high, or maybe the root cause is really poor soldering (cold solder joint) on the TIPM board(??). I'm not sure what yrs these relays work, so check what your TIPM's got before ordering. I'll post pics after I get them soldered on the board.
