Reliable HIDs?

Do they exist? I have had a few diffrent brands on my old duramax. The lighting was freaking amazing but there was no reliability. I had to change the ballast multiple times an even the bulbs twise. Is there any lights out there that wont let me down once a week!!!!??? Also tried halo lights an will never do tht again lol.

I think a lot of the reliability issues people have with HIDs are related to the 'plug n play' harness that don't give them a good clean power and ground. A crappy connection will eat up a ballast / bulb.

My friend has has excellent luck with DDM, which is loved and hated across the internets.

I wouldn't recommend them for the H13 application because they moved to a STUPID design on the bixenon. Talk to JJ at the RetroShop, there have been a couple members that have had issues, but I think for the vast majority of us, we've had great luck with his HIDs.

Check out Spencer's HIDS, had them on all my trucks and the kits are top quality and never had an issue.

I recently moved my suppliers, to mitigate issues - mainly with support and warranty. Bottom line, the kits I'm sending out now have a VERY stout harness, ballasts that will take abuse, and the support staff standing behind the product if we do have any issues. :****:
