I've used aftermarket kits on other vehicles that allow the use of an aftermarket spin-off filter like an oil filter for the transmission fluid. I have this on a car and have used them on Fords and GM cars. I'll use the big FL-1A oil filter and change it every 10,000 miles. Fluid is always clean and never had a tranny problem. Has anyone ever used it on a ZF 8-speed? Any thoughts about using one?
