Remote start disabled?

Hello all, I have a 2014 Ram 2500 diesel. When I start with remote, it will idle for about 5 to 8 minutes and shut down. Same as when I use uconnect with my cell phone. It flashes on EVIC remote start disabled, press start to reset. I checked for codes with my Alfaobd and no codes come up. It has original batteries in truck. I was wondering if anyone else ever had this problem or has an idea what could be the issue. Everything else on the truck works with no problems.

Are you starting it once or twice? This sounds like normal behavior after the second remote start.

So if I'm reading this right, the remote control works but will say disabled on the evic? The factory remote I believe time's out after 15 minutes and can only be used 2 times before actually having to start the truck. The remote start won't work if you have a cel or the fuel light is on

Agree with the two comments above.

You get 2 remote starts, then you have to start it with the fob in your pocket, you in the seat and pressing the start button.

You should have at least 10 minutes before a remotely started vehicle shuts off.

What is your fuel level?
Remote start will shut off quickly if your fuel is low.

Do you have engine light on? Especially if you have any codes like fuel related if disables remote start. Happened to me as I didn't realize it for a few days lol. I had the fuel pressure sensor was going bad than the light came on eventually. Truck was sucking gas for a few weeks till light came on eventually which is why I was having problems with remote start
