Just got a 2019 Ram Classic Warlock. I'm going to get a spray-in bedliner. My last Ram (2004) had the liner sprayed up on top of the sides and just a bit down the outside. This truck has a plastic piece on top of the bed, though. Has anyone removed them to spray in their place? Is the shape/finish under them acceptable for this sort of thing?
Thanks!

There is a bunch of holes under the plastic bed rail caps, if you look from the underside you can see all the plastic clips that are part of the plastic cap. From an appearance standpoint you'll want to keep the rail caps in place, and just have the inside of the bed sprayed. It would be hard if not impossible to put the rail caps on over the sprayed on bed liner.
I found a picture online of what it looks like:

I saw a DT a couple months ago where the owner left the caps in place, had them mask off the caps and spray 6” down from the top for protection of the outside of the bed. It almost looked factory they way he did it and that was on a white Ram.

Woof, yeah, that's not exactly what I'd want showing. Kind of sucks, the caps don't really fit nicely (gaps around the edges, and loose enough to move around a bit). Thanks for digging up the pic, my google fu isn't the best.

Between this and the picture above, almost makes me wonder if they can just spray over the caps.

Talk to a Line-X dealer. I've read about several people having custom spray jobs, on guy on here had his entire truck sprayed. They also offer color matched sprayed bed liner. Only downside to spraying the cap on is if it gets broken somehow.

I don't know...I was close enough to the DT I saw that you could tell it was taped off by the cap on the outside of the bed. I could be wrong but assume it would have to be applied very lightly where the caps will be placed back on the bed as too thick and the caps won't attached properly...and then, if there is any unevenness in the application on the top, then the cap will really show it once re-installed.
