Removing rear view mirror cover

So heating the windshield glass & plastic just a bit & then using fishing line to cut through the glue would not work ?

If it did, then you could work easier on a bench or table

Yeah I already have the Dongar adapter, hence the reason to pull the cover

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for this. Disassembly was a snap with no broken parts, install with the Dongar SimpleUSBPort Dash Cam Power Adapter (10-pin Type D) available on Amazon made it easy to tap to the wiring harness & power the Dash cam, and flawless to reassemble.

I ended up taking it to the dealer as it shouldn’t have done that. they called out a mobile glass service that disassembled the whole mess, cleaned the glass and re-glued it all under warranty.
