Removing scratches fom camera lens cover

i had bad scratches on the lens cover for my bed camera on my Ram 3500. Must have scratched when I moved stuff in truck. Couldn't see to hook up my 5th wheel. I used Novus products, starting with #3 and working down to #1. It's clear again. Removed all the scratches.

Is that the same stuff they sell for polishing headlights? I've used that before (on headlights) with very good results.
