Just wanted to throw this out there for those of use who have had the recall done on our trucks where some genius at Corporate decided welding the nuts on the drag link would solve the problem of them backing off not realizing that you can’t straighten your steering wheel with out grinding the welds off and then trying to weld-them again . I know Synergy makes the a/m heavy duty replacement that runs about $350.00 plus tax & shipping. Did a little research and found that the new drag link from Dodge part#68338342AD is the updated style like the Synergy and you can find it online for around $270.00(just google the part number). Not sure if it is as heavy duty as the Synergy but that I wasn’t concerned about since a don’t do any off road stuff just tow my TT. 99861699-BC18-46F8-82CF-7042FAB552A9.jpeg3A685370-C10B-4164-A2C5-B8729F3CFC25.jpeg882574DF-8E36-49FB-8985-B3AD014B22C1.jpeg

I also ordered the same part and hopefully it will come in the next week. I can not find any installation specs on the unit. Had hoped someone had put the proper torque specs online but unable to find them. Knuckle end, pitman arm end and also clamp nut specs and any tricks or notes to ideal position of the bar. Adjusting it will be a piece of cake after the initial install.

Make sure you order 2 new nuts with the new drag link. I was taking mine off and decided after I got the old nuts off to call the dealer to see if I needed them which they say you do it’s part of the supersession. They never told me when I originally ordered it.

I bought the new drag link for my '17 after they welded it.
Only paid about $130+/-.
I heard shortly after I got mine they jacked the prices WAY up.
I had my local front end shop install it and since I had a 3500, I had them set it to Thuren specs, not Ram's. Truck drives down the road perfect.
