No, have the jbls in each side and infinity in center. Is reason I tried both brands. When I decided to buy a center speaker Crutchfield only had infinity and I wanted the plug and play harnesses. When I seen shipping cost if I bought just the harness, was too much, was free with the speakers purchase so went infinity. Before that I just pinned the stock harness before I bought the ones from Crutchfield.

Which speaker harness works and doesn't have to be re-pinned to correct polarity?

So is this just a straight rear door speaker swap with the Jbl gx302s, or do I need to do some special wireing? Or need a harness adapter? Inexperienced audio guy here. Also, where is the center speaker you are referring to? Thanks

Im just swapping dash speakers now, other members will have to answer the rear doors for ya!
There is a metra harness which makes the connection easy but it seems the polarity is reversed on the harness. Im just gonna cut wires, install crimp on connectors and plug them in correctly.

I just ordered 2 sets of the infinitys so i will have an extra if someone is interested!

quick question Rotwiler. I have a '15 ram 1500 Crew Cab with stock Apline system. I am thinking about upgrading my rear door speakers to Jbl gx302s you recommend. Is there anything special i need to do wiring wise? is it just a direct speaker swap? I am reading something about polarity so not sure if there is an adapter i need to purchase to be able to swap these out. Thoughts? suggestions? Thanks!

Gx302 are 3.5 inch for dash, need 6x9 for rear doors. The jbl power series I bought for rear fit ok, but was slightly off in hole so I used a piece of butyl to cover spot Overall was easy install. Look for 6x9 around 2.4 ohm to keep same ohm as the alpine Amp. I see these on Amazon are same ohm as your stock 6x9, I used the power series but they look very simular to these and same ohm. JBL GX963 300W 6" x 9" 3-Way. If you don't want to tap the stock wires you can get a harness. I think this is the correct harness I bought. If you look at bottom photo, shows the gx963 and the gx302 and harness as a package of most common bought together, so looks like others used the gx963 in the Rams also. So for $128.68 you could get those 6x9, harness and 2 front gx302s, but you would have to tap the front wires. Dash speakers make huge difference in sound. Only place I found a front harness was Crutchfield. On my install, polarity was correct.

I happened to get the harness plug for the factory sub and ran it as a high input on my Alpine amp. This eliminated the need for a "remote" line to the amp. Currently running a single 10" Sundown Audio. Thumps pretty darn good!

Hey, do you find that the seat bottom at the back hits the top of the box and raises it up a bit? I have the same box and am trying to make it fit better. I think the seat mount bolt that sits underneath the sub is causing it to be uneven, raising the back up, causing the seat to touch it. Let me know if you're having these minor issues!

Side note: I'm putting polyfill in the box to help my sub hit better. Can update on the difference it makes!

I noticed the box doesn't sit flat, but with the grill guard there is enough "play" in the seat bottom that the seat still sits at the correct height. I don't see a difference in seat height on either side. What i noticed is when the seat is up you can get the box to stay flat, but when you put the seat down it puts pressure on the top/front of this particular box causing it to rise in the back. This is due to the way the box was cut (flat vs actual angles of the seat in relation to the base).

Wonder if id get any volume out of my alpine type s/custom box if i dropped that in for now? Its set up for 2 ohms. Wonder if i can just plug it into 2 of the existing wires from the stock sub wiring....

Awesome, thanks. What about rear sub. Is that a direct swap as well? Any recommendations there? Might as well do it all.

Your factory amp might not be able to handle it. I went with a separate sub but used the factory sub wires for a high side connection eliminating the need for a remote wire.

Sub is more work, I bought a homemade fiberglass box on here from member, lifted seat myself, wired power wire, ground etc myself. Was not too bad but I always hated the sound from the OEM sub outputs and line out converter, so last week installed a Amp pro ch41, found it open box for under $160 and is great, no more bass rolloff and sounds great. I have 2(12s) in the custom fiberglass box, running off a 1,000 watt rms Amp and using the Amp pro ch41.Before I did the subs, I took the factory sub out, replaced it with a bazooka dvc 2ohm sub and filled box with poly fill, really made minimal difference and not worth the expense.

I pulled my jl audio mx600/3, sub and wiring from my 08 when i got home today, Kinda hurt! I did such a sick job of hiding that amp behind the glove box where stock one was. At least my wiring job made for easy removal, just had to pull amped front door wires to head unit instead.
I think ill sell the amp and in time use the box/sub with a sub amp.

Lets see how long before the wife asks me to move it out of den...

What kind of speaker did you get for the center on the dash for the alpine system?

Is the same as the corner speakers, would need 3 jbl gx302s for the dash speakers. I have a infinity in center only because they are pretty much identical to the jbl gx302s, and I didn't like the gold cone reflection on window in summer from the infinity. Think the infinity model is ref3022cfx. I have seen many upgrades and I am type that tries to find the best for what I am after, finding a 2.2-4 ohm speaker is tough(the alpine 3.5s in there are same ohms as these) , you can get any 3.5 that will fit, but if 4ohm might not get as loud and these jbls and infinity have been used by many in Rams and most love the way they improve sound.

I installed my 1,000 watt Amp for subs behind rear seat, was tight but worked.

Harness I bought is no longer available, but new part # shows Metra 72-7902 as the one needed for the 3.5s.
