Replacing Microphone in Headliner RAM 2017

I know how to pop out the microphone from the overhead headliner but how does one get to the connector? I want to check the line and replace the microphone if needed on the drivers side.

Anyone? I have the manual it talks about removing windshield then the headliner but it also has a note that it isn't necessary to remove the headliner. So how do I get to the connector holding the microphone in place??

Old post I know, but you just need to pull slow and firm and the plug will come just to the hole. It is covered in a foam wrap.
