Hello viewers, Here’s my question and plan.

I’m rebuilding the whole engine. Most parts will still be stock with some extra performance but nothing stupid.

I’m 100% certain on a cam swap. I know I want power but not *TOO* much power.
I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500. It’s old. She will get cancer if I do anything farther than a stage 2 because i do know stage 3’s require upgrades in the valves and pushrods, etc.
my question in this matter is will a stage 2 install be beneficial and suitable for this stock 5.7 hemi engine?
Would I get full power from it if I install long tube headers which I am planning on doing also with a Cool Air intake.
Or lose power from not upgrading valves, pushrods etc ?

I want the chomp sound, I know lobe separation is what sparks that fire. I heard stage 2’s run in the 112 degrees at the least to 115 degrees at the most.

I also don’t want the truck to you know, randomly stall because of a ridiculous Cam upgrade.

At last, what about cam bearings, Would I need performance bearings to replace stock bearings?

is there anything I’m forgetting? Thank you for any responses!
