So did you have the basic 3.0 radio before this one? How much did that upgrade run you if you don't mind me asking?

I had the basic RES radio. I actually bought this radio from a member on another forum for around $800. These radios typically cost $2000.

The guy I bought it from had it updated prior to me purchasing it.

Sorry I havent gotten back to you sooner but the individual I bought the radio from hasnt answered my email. Once I find out, I promise to let you know how to update the radio.

If you are talking about the blue bulbs they are just a chinese brand bulb that is tinted blue. I do not remember the name of them.

I paid someone to do it so I think they just used regular automotive paint with clear coat. Surprisingly the engine cover doesnt get too hot so I dont think there is a need for heat resistant paint.
