Greetings all! Been away for a while. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year! So, I still have the dreaded vibration from the unknown pits of, well somewhere, issue. After several sets of different size tires, different wheels, road force balance from two different tire shops, remove and re-installation of the 2.5" front level kit, and so on, it is still there! Dealer denies it exists of course, blames the possibility on tires naturally. Anyway. I had a Leer 180 camper shell on my truck, but it was just too tall. I put a trifold bed cover on and see how that goes until I can get a rack of some sort for overland gear. I know there are some out there but DANG THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! LOL. Anyway, take care, be safe on the roads this holiday season. may 2019 be better than 2018! 20181217_114450.jpg IMG_20181217_232323_01.jpg

Oh, and hear is my work in progress that is in the bed under the trifold cover! I still have to put either several coats of Herculier or some kind of rubber mat on top to protect the wood. Man is this thing convenient! 20181217_114319.jpg

And a merry Christmas to you. Nice looking rig. Hope you are able to track down the vibration.

That's fantastic. How easy is it to remove if the whole bed is needed?
It's in there good, but removing 4 covers and 4 supports..........en it's really not that easy! Lol. But I have the whole top of the unit to haul stuff on. And for bigger items I'll use my trailer.

So, From my last pic, I have removed the Leer 180 shell and put my tri-fold bed cover back on probably for good. Someone attempted to break in to the shell by way of the door (which was locked as was the tailgate). The door is bent down on one side now but the glass did not break. I am repairing the door frame and going to sell the shell. Its really too tall anyway, so tall I really cannot use the Thule rails on top (a short old man cannot reach anything up there! LOL. So I am thinking of going with some kind of rock slider/step system but Im having trouble finding some decent but affordable ones. The tri-fold bed cover is temporary since it can be cut and broken into easier than the shell was. I thought about a overland bed rail system, but I do not get into overlanding really, but I would if I the truck was properly equipped. I have to keep the all wood drawer system in the bed dry, so the bed must be covered all the time unless I take the drawer system out. Its not a problem, just a few screws and side covers and it slides out. but then I have to store it in the garage. Then what do I do with the axe, shovel, hi-lift jack, cables, strap, medical gear, etc that are in the drawers if the system comes out, on and on and on! Anybody have any good suggestions as to how to change my truck and it's current setup Im open to anything. I find it easier to ask others who have visited and experienced these questions already. Be safe and drive on!20190220_122548.jpg
