Salvage yard may be your best bet. I don't know for a fact, but I don't believe the 02-05 'cigarette pack' RKE modules are tied to the VINs like the 06-08 modules are (lucky you!). Just try and find a salvage that'll pull it and give you the fobs for the same truck they pulled it from. Someone definitely correct me if I'm wrong on all of this

I'm having the same issue with finding the same part for a 2006. Problem is the new modules are VIN-specific, so I'll have to get one preprogrammed for my truck

Your problem isn't only that, the RKE & SKIM are combined (SKREEM) which makes it that much more of a PITA.

Programming is easy if you have the software/apparatus, even easier if you have the more upscale EVIC (it's a menu option).

Yeah I'm kinda hoping that the SKIM module half can be shut off with Alfa. I know the option is there, but whether it'll shut it off or not is a different story. It'll definitely be a PITA and I'm not looking forward to it lol

Oooh, good question. What I can tell you is that it won't work with your existing PCM. Once a PCM receives a signal from a SKIM/SKREEM, security is enabled and I was told that not even blanking it/rebuild can change it (cannot confirm). To even attempt this you'd have to see if you can execute with the module, then swap a new PCM in.

An 02 won't have a SKIM, they didn't start till 03.
We were discussing his 2006, but you think so? Care to read the highlighted portion for the class lol?

This same module goes all the way back to 2001 in Dakotas/Durangos
