Installed a set of Robin Electronics "Capacitive TOUCH Truck Bed Lighting". The wiring was a royal PITA as it had to be run across the truck and down both sides and my truck is Fluid Filmed (it's either that or replace it every 5-6 years when it rots out from the salt up here) so it was very messy. And it was a bit nerve wracking drilling the holes but the end results are great!
Each light (I got the 4 light kit) required 2 x 1/8" holes for the screws and a 7/8" hole for the plug on the wiring harness. Normal bit for the 1/8" holes and a hole saw for the 7/8". Each hole was cleaned up and coated with paint, then doused with fluid film for rust protection:
One of the units mounted :
With the cover plate in place. The rear two were mounted horizontally and the front two vertically:
Bed with the lights off (tonneau cover in place):
And the same shot with the lights on:
They turn on/off with a touch and will turn themselves off after an hour if you forget and leave them on. They also have a wire for an optional manual switch, but I did not hook it up.
I got them from Amazon.com (link below) but as of this writing (8/10/2020) they are out of stock. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075Z4QRBX
