Does anybody have experience with the Rough Country 2" leveling struts? Are they like the Bilsteins, in that the UCA would not need to be replaced, versus using a 2" spacer?

UCA’s are not needed at 2” but do the Bilstein 5100’s if that is the budget you’re working with. They are tried and true

So, if I decide to go the route of just a 2" spacer, it is not high enough that the UCA needs to be replaced?

I have the RC....wish i had gone another route.

Had rancho which rode nicer and had the right height but the spring isolaters broke.

The reason i dont suggest RC is that they raised my front about 3" (23 3/4") and now i look like those squatty trucks. Then throw a camper shell on it.

Called customer service, said it was normal and offered to sell me rear spacers.

The half shafts are not quite level and I swear a hear a rumble at high speeds.

Cant go back to stock or go bilstein etc, like an idiot i threw the stock parts away. i am prepared to cut the springs but im too lazy.

Correct 2.5” is the mandatory number. UCA’s are always a good insurance policy on anything leveled but are not necessary

most suspension shops have factory set ups that people didn’t want or can use anymore.

I search craigslist daily. I didt think if hitting up local 4x4 shops.
I own one always keep oem parts laying around in case one comes in that is rusted out or unsafe

I just put the rough county leveling struts on mine about a month ago. I have zero complaints about them. As of now the front is sitting about 1/4” higher than the rear. When I first installed them I was about 1/2” higher in the front. They are starting to settle in now.

Ask 50 people what their rough country experience is and you will likely have a mix of love, hate, and inconsistency’s. Do the same for every other big name company and you will not get the same results. Owning a suspension shop my name goes with every install that’s why I won’t touch rough country lifts or levels. Their grills, lights, bumpers etc. are much better

Lets go on some quantifiable rather than opinion.

My front rides higher than the front.

I scoured ford and chevy forums, same complaints.

I've had RC 2" levelling struts for over 20k miles. Actually really like them. Much better than OEM and they come assembled. Don't have to deal with re-using OEM crap. The front was raised by about 2.5" after settling. I like to have a little rake, so lifted the rear with Eibach springs and shocks (1"). Retained the OEM UCA's, since the alignment was done with no issues. Will replace them with aftermarket when ball joints wear out.
