God dammit dude. Stop editing your post. hahaah
You afraid the mods going to get you for harassment.

But, that's exactly what I told you in that thread. I said I would love to learn how to re-build a tranny as long as someone who knows what there doing is helping.

Nothing to be ashamed about. The whole reason I rag on you is because of what you said in that thread. Just so you NEVER FORGET...lol

Grow up, your deliberate trolling is getting old.
It's most definitely blatant and self confessed harassment
and worst of all not on topic to this or any other thread you attempt to troll me on.

So your saying you run no rims? Just ride on the brake rotors?

Duh? Hello McFly? Hello? No, I have 20" chrome clads and 275 60 20 SRAs. The weight difference added up to right at a loss of 72 lbs of unsprung weight. How is this so hard for some to understand? :favorites13:

Isn't that what I said? Damn...some people's kids!!! :roflsquared:

So, how much did your Boss rims weigh?

I know how to do math smart guy. I was just confused how you could drop so much weight when your still running 20s

Aftermarket 20s won't be much more than the chrome clads which weigh 34. Depending on tire weight difference I could see 10 pounds, but not 18s.

That's all I'm saying. DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, not sure of the break down, as I sold them together still as a set, but I did put them on a scale and, if I remember correctly, they were right at 17.7 difference in weight? The tires are really what killed the deal. The Kuhmos, in a 305 50 20, weighed close to 10 lbs, each, more than a Hankook Ventus in the same size. That's a pig of a tire. Kuhmos look good and are good tires, but they are pigs. Hope this clears things up.

I found a page that says the Kuhmo tires weigh in at an astonishing 51 lbs each! Also, the Boss wheels are showing to weigh 40 lbs...91 lbs per corner with stockers showing 34 lbs for wheels and tires at 39 lbs= 73 lbs per corner. All estimated, of course, but, on a scale, the difference was right at 17.7 lbs difference for each setup per corner.

Got ya..Thanks man

Yeah I looked up that size on tire rack just now and saw the Kuhmos. They are around 50lbs. I would have thought you would lose more weight with the rims then tires. Unless ofcoures you went with a 275. Alot of those are around 40lbs.

I understand you dropped 72lbs.
72lbs is a lot and was interested in what you run now to drop so much weight.

Thanks again...:)

Wow you guys really got into this. Awesome!
Blackramhemi- thank you for all the info. Over the years I have found your posts to be informative and very well thought-out.

Absolutely the extra weight on the wheels hurt performance. Why do you think most people upgrade the brakes when they go to bigger wheels.
After taking my 22's off a few weeks ago my truck is clearly faster!! The braking is much better and I got 0.6L/100km back.

I agree the compromise between speed and looks is different for everyone. But the fact remains heavy wheels and tires hurt performance. (this is why all the lifted guys have hundreds of MPG threads)
Reason I wanted to sell my wheels is to hopefully switch to a lighter set and gain some power back. After weighting my wheels with tires last night they ring in at 89lbs a corner (bathroom scale). Thankfully someone posted that with a 22” SRT replica and 305 tire I will have almost no drop in weight. Now for me this becomes a question of style?

Personally I like a large wheel on a large truck.
