SAT Tuner ?!!

quick question guys.. the factory satellite tuner is in my head unit? meaning when i swap out my head unti, i loose the tuner? i bought a new head unit thats being installed on sunday.. free install from best buy.. i got the maestro setup also, and got the idatalink sat 1 piece to retain the factory satellite antenna...

do i need to buy a damm tuner as well ?

I honestly cant remember. I'll look but what I do is use the Sirius app. I went with internet radio instead of using the hu. I can download stern shows I missed and listen to them on long road trips if I dont wanna listen to music. I'll try and find the answer to your question though

Yep, the SXM timer is integrated into the factory radio.

If you go aftermarket, you will need to add a compatible SXM tuner. FYI, you (or they) can get an adapter harness online to use the factory SXM antenna/connector.

yea i found out it is in the stock unit.. so i ordered the sxv 300 and the sat1 connector for the maetro setup... so i could use the stock antenna and not that ugly ****** one.. lol

the svx comes with 3 months of sat and app for free.. so you pretty much gt the device free.. works for me cause MLB is on xm for the summer..
