When I got home last night and turned off the truck in the dark I could see a green light flashing slowly between the steering column and a plastic cover next to it. I have never seen this before so is it something that supposed to be happening?

There's a red light on the cluster that flashes for the alarm system, never seen a green one though. Maybe a picture of where you saw it?

Haven't seen that, but if I'm sitting in the truck with the key/fob off and out of the ignition, little servo noises happen now and then in the dash, and some of the gauge needles will flinch.

Yes I have heard the servo noises as well. I watched it for a few minutes just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. I was in dress clothes so I didn’t want to try to crawl under the dash!

The servo type noises are the blend doors on the heat/ac system. They all move back to a default position a short time after the truck is shut off.

Thanks, I suspected it might be that. Good to know the blend doors aren't vacuum-operated, like in my old Ford. Always had problems with it leaking.

Don't listen to these Idiots.
Sadly I imagine they have never see the green blinking your talking about.

Every time you shut down your truck, the onboard computer reviews the entire duration of it's operation.
Acceleration, Braking, Passing, etc.
If you drive like Miss Daisy, when yo turn off your truck, you see nothing.
If you drive, unleashing the ferocious Hemi Beast, as it should be, then and only then, do you get the Blinking Green Light of Approval, for a job well done.

The computer stores this information and reports it back to the Hemi Gods, who will further enhance your motor, while you sleep, for even better performance.

Well Done, Sir!
Well Done!!

I don't think that's correct. I got a letter from Robert Mueller regarding FCA collusion with the NSA and how that will be his next investigative focus

gofishin, I thank you for clearing things up. However, with 267000 miles on my 04 hemi sport I'm a little leary of thraashing it hard enough to see the green light.

Oh, No, never Thrash!

Just let that Hemi live a Life of Unchained Joy.
Now, think about it, who is in better shape, in their advanced years, a Couch Potato that barely moves about or a Fitness Fanatic who has always been in motion, at relative high state of RPM'S?

Unleash Your Hemi!
Let it Live as the Hemi God's intended.

I beg to differ, I'm a couch potato compared to a lot of my physically fit younger friends that have died from massive heart attacks or strokes.
