I've had two 3500 SRW 6.4. a '14 and a '17.

Had 65k on the 14, and 43k on the 17.

The 14 was definitely a better running, less problem rig.

Not that the 17 was horrible, except for the never ending recalls, but had some issues.

Tranny pan leaking at 7k, and leaking again. Front end racking back and forth during low speed turns. Thinking U joints.

But, main reason for jumping ship...... If I got another Ram, it would be a new truck, but wouldn't feel like a new truck. When I got the 17, I had that feeling, and I know it would be worse if I got a third Ram. Biggest thing I missed with the Rams CC was the 8' bed, and didn't want a 8' bed with a CC because it's just too long plowing residential driveways.

So. The new rig..

2019 Ford F350 SRW, supercab with 8' bed.

Like to thank the Ram community for all the info and help with everything Ram. I'll be stopping by every now and then to keep up on what's new and improved with Ram. Who knows, I just might in a ram again in a few yrs.. IMG_20190718_173440839.jpg

Traitor!! Just kidding. I just dumped my ram for a Jeep. We have to do what is best for us or what makes us happy. Ram isn’t always the answer. Good luck with your new truck

But you get a pass, at least you kept it in the same family.

I jumped ship, but my wife car is a 2019 Grand Cherokee, so I guess it's not too bad. Lol

I really like the grand Cherokee and heavily considered a limited X, i just couldn’t get past the wrangler unlimited Rubicon and so far I absolutely love it.

So yes you get half a pass lol

Sorry you had issues, my '16 1500 has 40,000 on it now, and except for my leaky oil filter issues it has been problem free knock wood. That being said, Ford's HD trucks are damn nice, and I wouldn't kick one out of my garage. Let us know how you like it.

I’m sure most of us haven’t but once you get here it’s easy to stay with the mopar brand

True but there's this slightly used Corvette Z06 for sale in the local area and, ya see, I have had the SRT8 for over 12 years.... ;)

love the new truck! When it comes to looks i think ram has it with the 1500s but for 2500 and 3500 trucks ford has the meanest look going right now. Very sharp!

Very nice! I'm still a Ford man, but love my ram.

I'm not a fan of how Ford still does the suicide style extended cab doors but that's just me. They build a great truck no question....

Now if you would have gone to GM junk or *** crap....I'd have not been so kind....LOL

I can appreciate the wheelbase and limitations with available configurations. I bought a 2500HD in 2011 to get a double cab and 6.5' box as with the 3500 I would have had to get the crew cab with the 2 foot longer wheelbase.

I was thinking about a Ford F-150 until I did my research and learned of all the recalls and foot dragging with the door lock failures and problems with new trucks having leaks in the cab and the fight by owners to get dealers and Ford to respond. Do check the recall information if you got the block heater with your new truck.

Same lack of quality control and unresponsive dealers with buyers of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. I bought a 2018 Chevy Traverse instead and it was definitely the right decision. The features matter little if one is spending an inordinate amount of time in the customer lounge at the dealer or having the vehicle sitting for weeks awaiting warranty repairs.

Who's gonna follow you with the tow strap?

Just kidding. Beautiful truck. I was in GMCs and Chevy's for nearly 40 years before buying my first Ram. It's a lengthy decision process. Gotta look at all sorts of things...and the money.
