I'm looking to purchase a new set of wheels. I have a 5th gen 2019 bighorn with the 18 inch aluminum wheels. I'd like to keep the rubber for now to help keep costs down, and put them on a new set of rims.

I'm looking at links like this, and not sure how I know what my original rim is since there are two versions for 18 inch rims.

Then I see the rim in two different specs, this one looks OK:

but says for this almost identical rim "this wheel might be too aggressive" lol.

So the two things that matter to me are, must be 18 inch, and must fit my stock goodyear wrangler tires. Bonus if I can add wider width tires when I have to replace them in about a year, but I don't think that works?? Do you have to get a wider width rim as well?

Looking at a few examples on custom offsets, that wheel set up you give seems pretty reasonable. Not overly aggressive by any means IMO.

No idea what tire size you are running now but I'd think you should easily be able to run 11" wides. You could probly fit 12", just not sure what wear patterns would look like long term. If I remember correctly, my brother has 12" wide tires on a 7" wide wheel on his jeep. Much different vehicle and intended use, but you get the point. Lots of flexibility on tire widths.

Appreciate the info, so you don't have to match the tire width to the rim width 100%? I'm not looking for anything crazy, maybe just another inch over stock.

Nope. If you have a tiny side wall with less flexibility, both literally and figuratively, you will have to have them close-ish. But the taller the sidewall, the more the width of the tire can vary from the width of the wheel.
