got an email yesterday about a recall that applies to the airbags and seatbelts failing to work in a crash..this right after I had the adjustable brake and power steering recalls done. I should have waited .

Sounds like one of the 4th gen recalls from within the last couple of years, would have been nice for them not to use the same bad equipment in all the new ones. Maybe it's a different issue but the symptoms sounds identical.

I just had the V71 recall last week. There's a chance that maybe the airbags won't deploy during a crash. The dealer checks the module for any codes. If there aren't they flash the new software onto it otherwise they replace the module.

Don't know. It's under warranty so I'd have the dealer check it out and do the recall regardless.

I have 2019 and airbag light has been going on and off since I bought it! The dealer replaced the wiring harness and the modular and still same problem. Then the dealer told me since I had a after market radar detector install that it was the problem since the truck in very sensitive to power loads! Of course I knew this was a song and dance! Of course I find out that a recall is out their. Question to anyone have you had the same problems and update the software?

I have not had any airbag issues.

Did you receive a recall notice? The Mopar website does not list 2019s as one of the problem years if you are referring to the recent Takata airbag recall.

From the Mopar website:

It depends on the 'zone' you live in:

Here are the RAM truck years affected:
