Hello,
I have a 2007, 2500 diesel that has been loved very well, and the seats definitely show this.
Looking at replacing them as I'm driving down to Texas from Ohio in March.
What year seats will fit in with little to no modifications to brackets/seats.
I tried looking around and couldn't find anything online.

Thanks in advance!

Without doing any research..

Any 2002-2008 Ram 1500

or

Any 2003-2009 2500/3500

I know the 2009-2017 (4th Gen) front seats are a direct bolt in configuration but the wiring for the seat heaters are not the same as the 3rd Gen. The rear seat brackets are different between the Quad Cabs and the Crew Cabs.

4th gen quad cab seats (front and rear) are a straight physical bolt in (at least mine were). Wiring wasn't an issue repinning the connectors but then again I don't have heated seats anyway. You'll need to swap the seat belt connectors from your old seats if you do this because they changed the size of the blade in the newer seats and you're existing ones won't fit.

Yeah I forgot to add that the 4th Gen Quad Cab seats are a direct bolt-in. It is the 4th Gen Crew Cab rear seat brackets that are different.

For the front seats, 4th gens seats work great. If you end up with 4th gen powered seats, all the wiring youd have to do for movement is send 12v power to the 12 gauge red wire and ground the 12 gauge black. Thats for up, down, forwards, backwards, power lumbar, etc.

I haven't personally wired up my heated seats yet, but I've heard it can be tricky. There's a heated seat temperature sense wire that runs into the 4th gen dash and makes sure your seats don't burn themselves up (or worse, cause a fire). Wiring up factory 4th gen heated seats SAFELY would most likely be an in-depth project

This is before, 2006 manual seats with a 2014 jumpseat swapped

After, 2017 heated seats with driver side power, and 2014 jumpseat

I should add that if you end up getting 4th gen seats that 1. You'll have to keep the 3rd gen seatbelt buckles and 2. The 3rd gen seat belt buckles on the 4th gen seats are rather short lol. You can kinda see how recessed the buckles are with the newer seats in my pictures, so it can be kinda annoying at times to have to fish out the buckle every single time you get in and buckle up

I would love to swap in 4th gen seatbelt assemblies so I could use the 4th gen buckles. Not to mention have buckles that match the seats
