I reciently swapped seats from a 2015 ram 1500 eco to my 2014 express, I was pretty sure I hooked up everything correct but now the service air bag light comes on sometimes and when I have a passenger with the belt buckled it still says that the belt isn’t. Any ideas what this could be from?

Im sure ram had connector issues. They had to fix mine under warranty.

The dealer basically cut the air bag wire and rerouted it...morons did not use a connector and i could not remove the seat. Took it back and they put a simple oem connector.

I can get pics if u want.

The most likely problem is your passenger side seat belt wiring or seat belt itself. When your dog or anyone else sits it the truck it activates the occupancy sensor . You truck isn't getting the signal from the seat belt that its latched so it's giving you the warning signal. I would recommend checking the wiring from the seat belt to the switch to see if it somehow got damaged or disconnected. It should be pin#19 LB/GY in the passenger side yellow seat connector. I would check there first. It could also be a problem with the seat belt itself. You could possibly try switching with your old one if you can't find any issues with the wiring. The fact that it only happens when someone is in the truck tells you your occupancy sensor is working correctly and if it was an issue with the seat airbags you should have the airbag warning light on the dash.

Ok thanks, I will look and see. I might have messed up that pin with the wiring for the heated seats wiring I did. Forgot to text you and let you know that your help was great with it and got them working. Got a-little busy with work. But thank you again.

No problem, glad to hear it's all working. The seat belt wiring should have been the same so you most likely didn't even touch it. It's possibly just a bad connection or damaged wire.
