Gofishin that is a story I would like to give a handful of likes to. Your Mom was a wise lady. Mine was like that except her words weren’t quite so entertaining, the sentiment was the same.

Go fishn - love that story. My second wife worked as manager in a restaurant and a bunch of guys on my shift ate there. Got to know her from the place. One of the guys had a crush on her but was afraid to ask her out because she was very pretty and he knew we wouldn't let him live it down if he got shot down.

He asked me if I would approach her and ask if she would go out with him. I said ok.

I went and asked her and she said, "I won't go out with him, but I'd go out with you!". It was rough giving him the bad news. She and I got married a year later. Raised two kids and together 25 years. Even though it ended in divorce, we are still civil and often see each other at family functions because we share three kids and three grand kids. Was uncomfortable for awhile but that was 15 years ago, so we're over it and things are fine. She's a good woman - just got tired of me being gone all the time. Casualty of "the job". I was striving for promotions, working shifts and call outs and going to night school. Got all that done and went home after years of that only to find they had their own lives and i was a bit of a stranger.

Lesson learned. What I thought was important wasn't valuable at all. I've repaired the relationships with my kids, who are now 32, 34 and 46. They understand me now and it is all good.

It's what i meant by "seasons" in a previous post. In my current life, Monique and I have an easy understanding and each seems to fill in some part of the other. She isn't threatened by my past and takes me as I am. So now - I'm not just happy, but also content. Good feeling. Guess it's true - God looks out for fools and little children. I've been both.

Ramm57 please don’t post anymore of those car show pix. Took 15 minutes to get the slobbers cleaned off my iPad screen. :dogpile:That yellow highboy is a real gem.

If all this sitting around has you kinda "Stopped up", try this ride>>>>

NOTE: I'll take rough seas in a ship over this any day. I hear that the first part of this video is faked, but it's cute anyway, hope you enjoy the thrill vicariously.

Is that a Super Bee? I thought it was a Daytona. Either way - a beast. They canceled the big father's day car show here. Sucks. I had a 1970 Roadrunner with the 440 six pack. Pure black with black interior. Evil looking. L60-15 tires that were each 11 1/2 inches of rubber to the street but could kick in that six pack at 50 mph in fourth gear and vaporize the tires. Just ungodly. Great pics - thanks!
