Hey all, my truck just got these two messages. Been looking here and been reading either speed sensors, brake system hydraulic control or
Abs module. Anyway to find out where the issue is? What to look for? Truck has no symptoms. Runs good. Thanks in advance.

Check all your abs sensors wiring. Check for rub though,chewed, broken wires.

Just go have the codes read. Those will at least point you in the right direction. If it is an issue with a wheel speed sensor circuit it will tell you which one to look at. Don't want to sound like an a## but I make this same reply on a vehicle related forum almost daily. Having the specific codes read should always be the first step, versus just randomly guessing and throwing parts at it.
You need to use a diagnostic tool or code scanner that can read the ABS module. It's not something special or anything, but a lot of the cheapo' base level scanners can't read any other module besides the ECM (engine computer). A lot of the big chain auto parts stores use a cheapo' scanner and can't read ABS codes.

Thank you. I didn’t know I could still get a code without the check engine light on. I thought a CEL had to be on to get a code.

The ECM or other module should store the codes as long as you didn't erase it with a scanner or disconnect the battery.

Get Jscan or Alphaobd and read what codes you have.

Beat me to it, but yes Harbor Freight sells scanners that can read the ABS module. For other people reading this post you just have to look at the specs and see if it does or not.
For the wheel speed sensor codes, just remember that the code does NOT say "you need to slap a new wheel speed sensor on it". It says there is a faulty signal coming from that circuit......it COULD be a bad sensor but could also be frayed wiring, loose or corroded connectors, or even a bad hub bearing can cause issues. Point being is you should do some checking before just going out and buying new parts. On my kid's car I've gotten wheel speed sensor codes for each wheel at different times. However nothing was wrong with the actual sensors as it was the tone ring on the wheel hub that would fall apart. You could have replaced the wheel sensors over and over and still get the same code.

Lights went away.

How can you tell if it’s a bad bearing? Wheels have zero play (when jacked up), no humming/popping noises while driving.

In regards to a bad bearing, those are the first two things to check. What can happen if the bearing is bad the wheel end has slop and allows the tone ring/magnetic pick up ring on the hub to maybe rub the sensors and ruin it.

Check with the local Ram dealership and sometime they are willing to print out the couple pages from the factory manual (it's been several years, but have gotten printouts a few times from dealerships). There are several other companies that offer pro level diagnostics manuals that shops subscribe to. AllData is one and you can get a month long subscription to a vehicle for like $20....I would suspect they have a complete wiring diagram. Identifix, Mitchell, Haynes are some other names. There are many more.

I used to check for Haynes or Chiltons at the library when fixing friend's vehicles.

Sometimes those types of manuals will cover what you need and the price is right from the local library.

As mentioned by 62Blazer, many years ago I obtained all the info I needed with printouts from the Nissan & Toyota dealers.

The parts departments always seemed happy to find and print anything I required.
I recently had the same experience at the Ram dealership parts department.
