Hey guys, not on here very often, and i'm totally unsure of where the best subsection would be for this question. But I've been having a intermittent problem with my 2011 Ram Outdoorsman. I can be driving down the road, and randomly the EVIC will start flashing "Service Trailer brake System" and or "Trailer Brake Disconnected". These notices only last a few seconds, and after the chime, they disappear for a while... They come and go 100% randomly...
I've checked the plugs in the rear to see if there's anything inside them causing a problem, but aside from a little bit of die-electric grease, nothing seems out of the ordinary.. Also checked the wires from the back to see if they were frayed, or burnt, but they look fine.
I've even taken it into the dealership, to see if they could diagnose the problem, but they told me, if it's not coming on, and staying on, there would be no codes or anything stored...
Wondering if anybody else has/is having this problem, and or what the cure is..
Also wondering, is there a fuse I could pull for the system? Would that cause a CEL or related light on the dash? Once in a blue moon, do I ever pull a trailer with this truck....
TIA!
