Shark Fin vs Stock Antenna

First time owning a Ram truck or any kind of pick up truck for that matter. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. It came with both the long stock antenna and also a shark fin antenna. Was wondering what's the difference between the two and if i could just get rid of one or the other.

Standard mast antenna is for stereo radio. Sirius/XM & maybe GPS uses the fin.

As an addition to this post, I have found (from my 4th gen with the radio antenna), if you remove it to replace with a "stubby", you will lose some reception.
