How do any of you cold dry weather ramies like getting your ass handed to you when you jump out and close the door. Im sure its my flannel and cloth interior creating the static but my lord my 2500 hands my **** to me if im not careful when i get out. Maybe it doesn't want me touching the paint.

Try wiping the seats with a dryer sheet. That usually worked for me for a couple of weeks.

Haha yeah I've gotten that quite a few times over the years, sometimes it's even a visible shock. Might have to give the dryer sheets a try too, although this winter I have leather seats and they don't seem as bad.

I've seen almost a 1/4 arc from my finger to door on my 07 mega with cloth seats and me wearing a slick shirt with a hoodie on. Working nights in winter. We call it the wakeup punch in.

I just seen that on the news for you guys out there. You gonna need a boat soon. Better wear a pair of rubber boots for when that ram shocks you. Lol

Not too bad... the river is up by 2', but it has like 12-14' to go before I'll worry about flooding. :)

Your lucky you have that much before flooding, the Great Lakes have been practically at flood stage most of this year and are not expected to drop any time soon.
At one point Lake Superior raised 5" in under 30 days adding an extra 2.75 Trillion gallons of water to the lake.

Just grab any bit of metal on the truck and keep constant contact with it as you're exiting. Once your feet hit the ground you should be good to go.

People used to put static straps on trucks. Works unless you happen to stop on a downed power line and exit the vehicle. Then you would be dead. I think fire trucks and some other work trucks use them.

The ground straps used to be pretty common in the 50s and 60s on most any vehicle like Deer Whistles were in the 80s and 90s. Kind of what ever you believe in I guess. I found giving a deer the finger did as much . ;)

It happens everytime for me around winter time, i just my get off the truck simply rubbing the back of my legs against my rock sliders and like magic no more electroshocks that way. I'm used to doing this already because every 4x4 vehicle i've had/have, have rock sliders. Of course when those are dirty and i'm gettting ready to jump into the elevator from my office parking lot i'm toasted hahahahaha.
