Hey guys.. Did a search but couldn't find quite what I was looking for.. Finally decided on my mods which will be jba shortys, cat back exhaust, y pipe, hemifever tune, CAI and 87mm TB. My question really is how difficult is the install of the headers? I know with long tubes lots of stuff needs to be moved around to fit them, how about shortys?

You don't have to move anything on lung tubes that you don't have to move on shortys...not sure where you got that info.
They're both a straightforward swap. You'll have to tweak the dipstick bracket on either but that's about it.

Thanks.. I had read in multiple places that long tubes were more labor intensive to install than shortys, misinformation I guess

I believe long tubes are more labor intensive, just because they arent a direct bolt on like shortys. Long tubes require cutting and fitting to the factory exhaust. Shortys are supposed to bolt right up to the factory exhaust.

If you buy the high flow cats or catless mid-pipe it's a straight bolt in with long tubes.
I've installed both...the labor is the same with either one.

Thanks unbroken... One more quick question, I just ordered the headers, y and muffler.. What are the exact factory gaskets I need to order for the left and right sides and do you have a recommended place to buy? Also, stage 8 or jba bolts in your opinion? There's so many conflicting opinions.

I used the JBA supplied gaskets and had zero issues....same with their bolts.

Awesome thanks so much man... Saves me another $100.. I'm sure I'll be asking you some more questions next week when I go to install these bad boys haha.
