I recently contacted Dodge to get the build sheet on my recently purchased '96. They responded with it (the same thing that the website below gave me), but also requested that I send them a scan of my registrations so they could update me as the owner of the vehicle. Is there any reason to do this? Only thing I can think of is if it's stolen and the thief takes it to a dealer, they'll know it's stolen. I don't think that's a likely scenario though. That doesn't seem worth it for spreading my personal info around.
I've had a couple new cars (Chevy and Honda) and did the whole online registration thing. Turned out to be pretty useless. It had a maintenance tracker thing that never got updated from the dealers, Owners manuals, and an FAQ.
