Looking at possibly going with a different grill for my ram, so I'd like to get ideas from everyone else's. If it's a DIY grill please list what you did and used to make it work, If you bought it please list from where! Thank you!!

Work in progress. I currently have a 2013 chrome big Horn grille. Bought a used color matched one off of eBay, but had scratches so I am attempting to repaint. I am using Dupli Color Match Paint (PS2, I think)
Edit.. Tapatalk flipped the pics

Looks good so far! Are you reusing the same inserts?

The grille surround and inserts that the truck came with are all chrome. The one I bought off eBay has the black honey comb inserts.
The final product will have color matched grille surround, black honeycomb insert, and color matched emblem back with black ram head.

I bought a new emblem and took it apart, sanded it, and repainted.

I made my own; stripped the shell, cut out the cross hairs, filled in the holes, ordered and cut the mesh to size, powdercoated the mesh and painted the shell. I then used an emblem from Royalty Core.

What did you use to plug up the holes? And how did you attach that material? That grill looks amazing! I was thinking about doing something like that but didn't know how to do it successfully. I found a grill on Craigslist for $60 it's chrome and has a cracked but thought if there is a way of fixing crack I can sand it down, prime and paint and do a insert similar to yours.

To mount the mesh I picked up 1" galvanized angle iron, the stuff with holes in it and used 3-4" lengths around the perimeter, specifically across the holes where the cross hairs were. Then I filled the holes with long strand kitty hair (fiberglass), sanded down, prepped, and painted. I'm thinking about making another one out of my stock one just to give something different a try.

As a little side question here, is it possible to redo the chroming on the shell of the grill? Mine is bubbling like crazy.
