I'm BACK!! Upping my Game... TWO stuck rigs!

Any old Outdoorsman can get A vehicle stuck in an afternoon... I'd say it takes quite a, ummm, 'Special' person such as myself to bury TWO rigs in one afternoon. Especially both having good rubber, aired down, swaybars disconnected, 4-Lo and both Front and Rear Lockers churning all four tires!

How we got out...

I just can't say enough about the capabilities of both vehicles, but the real Winner is the Power Wagon's 12k lbs Winch, with some extra line for this one. But, we got ourselves in, we got ourselves out. And home just in time for dinner too! :favorites13:

Somehow this great (if I say so myself) thread got buried and the bones haven't been
seen in SIX years!

Perhaps it is time I better try again (now going on my Third late model Power Wagon);

Lets start with the 2013. This is NOT actually stuck, by the way! Deliberate 'flex-demo' photo. She drove right out and went to put another 75k on her without issue.

Broke through the deceptively dry shoreline of the lake just out of frame to the left. Pulled up and stopped prior, and saw the clue (change in sand color) and backed away from the previously receded water line about eight feet (see my previous tracks) , parked the truck and walked the shore. Came back and discovered the rear sinking into the goop below. Found a nice big rock about 50' away and winched myself out. God I love this truck!
Lake Isabella, CA. (when there was still SOME water in it).

Another 'just follow along the shoreline gone wrong.
San Juan River, Mexican Hat, UT.

IMG952015112695151942.jpg13PWMexHat.jpgAfter being forced to abandon her over night and hitching a ride all the way back to the travel trailer in Monument Valley (with the whole family, on Thanksgiving, no less), snapping the synthetic winch line several times, about ripping a local's F-150 in half doing some extremely high speed tugging with a elastic recovery line, employing about half of the wonderful members of the Navajo Nation to dig for several hours we finally recovered the truck from the clay mud suction hole of doom. Second photo is our glorious departure and undercarriage wash driving on the rocky bed of the river back to the boat ramp. It wasn't until two days later I learned all of us had been soaking in the toxic 'heavy metal' polluted water dumped just upstream from our location in Colorado by the BLM puncturing an old Gold Mine's retaining pool. Typical Brakelate action...

OK, how about a shot of the 2018. Just re-installed the still new Duratrac's on stock wheels after running the BFG's on AEV wheels all summer and never having a problem. Then again, I was too comfortable and lazy to air down prior. Upon later inspection the tire shop doing the labor decided to air up the tires to like 75 psi !!! (I usually run around in the mid-30's out here, empty, no towing).
The hard as rock (overinflated) Goodyears just dug straight in. Was on it's belly before I knew it.
With nothing to anchor on to or anyone else around, I called my daughter, used her 2dr Wrangler as an anchor (sort of - dragged it yards down the beach until I parked it sideways and let it bury itself) and winched myself out. Again.

Lone Rock Beach, Lake Powell, UT.

This happened in 2021. Got to a round about in fresh snow at the same time as a guy in an equinox on the cross road. Neither of us could stop and both tried to exit the round about at the same clearing. I slid diagonally into his tailight. Surprisingly i took all the damage. He lost the tail light lens and his hub cap popped off.
Below is a pic of her now. I got 90% of the dents out with a scissor jack, boards, a basketball, and a rubber mallet. The big crease is still there but i have plans to replace the whole panel at some point.

Back when i still owned my 2009 Ram, i had driven 500 or 600 miles on this particular day.
I had returned home after having completed a job.
I was backing into my parking spot, it is a tight fit

This shows how tight the fit is, there is always a neighbors car parked in front of the Ram, you can plainly see the OLive tree

I guess that i was overly tired & never even heard the sensors set off the alarm & it happened as the sun was setting in my mirrors
