Yeah me too! Got 58k+ on mine. Haven't heard the tick yet but won't be surprised when I do. I'll go shorty or long tubes for sure then if I hadn't already. You are right about the smell. Not interested in that. I'm not trying to melt the tires I just want to take advantage of some of the potential of the motor. I occasionally haul a tractor or fire wood but not much more than that. My Dad has an 01 3/4 ton with a Cummins for the heavy stuff.

Go with a decent set of 1 3/4" long tubes if your budget allows it,if the smell bothers you,then go with a catted Y pipe. The long tubes with a good tune will make a noticeable difference in the seat of the pants feel.With a Diablo canned 93 tune my 4X4 was running low 14.1's at 3500ft ,a set of long tubes and a custom HP dyno tune dropped those numbers down to high 13.4's at 3500ft

I probably will go with the high flow cats. Still studying but leaning long tubes. Depends on the cost.
